Geotechnical Investigation

Every safe structure starts with understanding the ground beneath it. We carry out borehole drilling, Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), undisturbed sampling, Dynamic Cone Penetration Tests and Plate Load Tests, followed by complete laboratory testing. You receive a report with soil profile, safe bearing capacity and foundation recommendations for buildings, overhead tanks, towers, bridges, sub-stations and industrial plants.

What We Do

All tests required for foundation investigation, sub-grade investigation, geotechnical investigation and material testing, both in the field and in the laboratory, are carried out using our comprehensive range of field and laboratory equipment. Our team of experts scrutinises and analyses every result with the help of advanced in-house computer facilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a geotechnical investigation and why do I need one?

It is a study of the soil and ground conditions at your site through boreholes, field tests and laboratory tests. It tells your engineer how much load the ground can safely carry and which type of foundation to use, preventing cracks, settlement and costly failures.

  • Are your reports accepted by government departments?

Our laboratory is approved by CPWD, MES, Airport Authority of India, BSNL, All India Radio and other departments.

  • What is a Plate Load Test?

A field test in which a steel plate is loaded in stages at foundation level and the settlement is measured, giving the bearing capacity of the soil directly on site.
